Your South Carolina Advocate in the Fight for Justice

As a dedicated attorney, I believe that every client deserves a personalized approach. No two legal battles are the same, which is why I take the time to craft tailored strategies that fit each client's unique situation. Clear communication is a priority—I keep my clients informed at every stage, ensuring they understand their options and feel empowered throughout the process.
When it comes to advocacy, I don't back down. Taking on powerful opponents, whether big insurance companies or sophisticated corporations, requires relentless commitment and a focused plan. I fight hard to secure the full and fair compensation my clients deserve.
I also understand that legal matters are more than just cases—they impact real lives. That's why I approach every client with empathy and compassion, recognizing the hardships they face and providing the care and dedication they need. There are no shortcuts in my approach to practice. I thoroughly investigate every aspect of the case and uncover all potential sources of liability and insurance coverage to maximize its value.
Justice isn't just about winning in the courtroom or at the negotiation table—it's about empowering my clients to walk away with the dignity, respect, and financial security they need to move forward.
"I love helping good people fight the good fight. The greatest fulfillment I have in life is when my clients receive the justice they deserve and I get to see them living their best life."- Billy Sweeny

At SC Injury Law, my practice is totally dedicated to representing people hurt by the negligence of others across the full spectrum of personal injury litigation. A depth of experience underlies every facet of my client service.
Prior to immersing myself in full-time plaintiff's work, I worked at several renowned defense firms where I learned firsthand the hidden and complex inner-workings of trucking companies, industrial operators, and insurance companies.
Earlier in my career, I worked for the State of South Carolina's General Counsel of Litigation by prosecuting corporations with abusive tax structures. I now work exclusively to hold individuals, companies, and insurers accountable for careless actions and reckless corporate governance.
One principle I learned through my experience of prosecuting and representing corporations and insurers is that positive change rarely occurs unless the status quo is costly. I have experienced from both sides of the courtroom how the civil justice system is critical to the alignment of community values with personal responsibility and safe corporate behavior.
I formed SC Injury Law with the purpose of pursuing brave results built by hard work and guided by tested character. We apply a relentless approach to proving the merits of each client's case in order to secure the best possible result for the client.
I approach each client's unique case with skill, compassion, and the understanding that medical treatment and bills are often just the tip of the iceberg for the compensable harm suffered.
The ways in which injuries can impact work, leisure, relationships, and the use and enjoyment of time must be addressed in order to do justice to the complete reality of each client's experience. And we want the client to feel understood, well-informed, and confident throughout the process.
SC Injury Law does not treat clients as a number or an inconvenience while compromising their interests by seeking the quickest, least expensive, and easiest result - that is often magnitudes less than what the case is worth. We do not pressure clients to settle for less than full value or to accept the false narratives callously crafted by insurers and their attorneys. We do the hard work to develop the evidence and support for the full value of each case.
Client's vehicle was struck by an alleged (but not criminally charged) drunk driver. Client suffered spinal injuries resulting in multiple surgeries.
Client's vehicle was traveling down a highway when it ran into another driver's vehicle that pulled out from a stop sign.
Client was injured by dangerous equipment on the defendant's property. Liability and the extent of the injuries were contested.
